The one thing you shouldn't do is stop.

Hi, this is Simon Jordan, and I want to welcome you back to another episode of My Marketing Hints and Tips.

What a crazy world we're living in right now. It's completely topsy-turvy.

In my 51 years on this planet, I've never seen anything quite like this. It is scary times, isn't it?.

We don't know what's going on, it feels like it's out of control, but one thing I urge you to do, if you're in business on your own, the one thing you should not do is stop.

And what I mean by that is, you know when you've taken your kids, or you've gone on it as well as a child, those merry-go-rounds in the park, and it really takes a lot of effort to push it, to get it going, and then once it's going, and you're all standing on it and laughing and giggling, you just literally move it with your fingers.

It's like a huge flywheel, isn't it? That is the same as your business.

If you stop marketing your business now, through fear, worry, or whatever it is, it's going to be difficult to start up again, because this will pass.

This madness, this craziness, I don't know when it will pass, but it will pass. No situation is permanent.

But if you've taken your foot off the brake, or rather, you've put your foot on the brake, and you've stopped it, this will cause issues when you start up again.

Because believe me, it will be overload, everyone's going to be out there. And I'm seeing a lot of people now advertising their business, the consultancy and stuff like that, and some of it can be a bit off-putting, because in this time when we're reigning the purse strings in, what I would suggest is you add value.

I've talked about this in one of my episodes as well.

So keep your business in the minds of your target market. Add value, share your knowledge, share that you care, and provide information, like I'm doing.
I'm not selling you anything, but I'm giving you advice on don't stop marketing your business.

So whatever you're doing, if you are a coach, maybe confidence is a huge thing right now, how to stay calm.

In fact, I'm going to change that. A client of mine, a good friend of mine, Sarah Jane Woods, doesn't like the word "calm," and I agree with her, 'cause if someone says, "Stay calm," you're kind of like, "No, I'm not going to stay calm." She says, "Stay grounded," and I love that. So stay grounded.

So let's say you want to do some information about how to stay grounded in this time, how to meditate.

If you are isolating yourself, it's going to be not long before everyone's going to be in quarantine, and we're all stuck in our homes, if that's the way it's going to go, what can you do to help people in that moment?

People are losing their businesses, and anyway, I'm not going to focus on the negative.

One thing I would say is focus on the positive, so in your business, keep marketing.

It's really, really key.

Keep that flywheel going. Keep moving it, keep moving.

By sharing our knowledge, helping people, and when we come out of this, you would have been there throughout it all, and they will remember that.

So share, care, love more, do more. It's really important.

So, for more information on hints and tips, go to my website,

Until next episode, look after yourself. Where there is light, there is also darkness, but we always come out of it.

So stay with it, and I'll speak to you soon. Take care, bye.

If you liked or even loved this post, please share.

With gratitude
